He'll Fry for this
Stephen Fry, English writer, actor and comedian, is under investigation for blasphemy in Ireland. His particular crime took place during an interview on Irish radio.In the interview, Fry was asked what he would say if he were confronted by God.
He replied:
“How dare you? How dare you create a world to which there is such misery that is not our fault? It’s not right, it’s utterly, utterly evil.Stephen Fry is absolutely correct. Is it then still blasphemy? We can only hope the Irish don't do to Mr. Fry what Creedy's men did to Dietrich.
“Why should I respect a capricious, mean-minded, stupid god who creates a world that is so full of injustice and pain?
“We have to spend our life on our knees thanking him? What kind of god would do that?
“The god who created this universe, if it was created by god, is quite clearly a maniac, an utter maniac, totally selfish.”
