A confluence of trouble

In what appears to be a resounding success for the NRA in its bloothirsty quest to sell as many guns as possible, a potentially yuge market is opening up that may well take the place of Obama fearing fools panic buying at every rumor he was going to confiscate all the guns. ISIS has recommeded to its followers that American gunshows are the best place to arm themselves in quantity and quality.
The Islamic State has urged its adherents to buy weapons from gun shows in the United States to take advantage of gun control laws.

“The acquisition of firearms can be very simple depending on one’s geographical location,” says a new piece in Rumiyah, ISIS's propaganda magazine, the Washington Post reports. “In most U.S. states, anything from a single-shot shotgun all the way up to a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle can be purchased at showrooms or through online sales — by way of private dealers — with no background checks, and without requiring either an ID or a gun license.”

“With approximately 5,000 gun shows taking place annually within the United States, the acquisition of firearms becomes a very easy matter," the article continues. A photo caption says, "Gun conventions represent an easier means of arming oneself for an attack.”

A caption under a photo of what appeared to be a gun show read: “Gun conventions represent an easier means of arming oneself for an attack.”

The instructions appeared in an article titled “Just Terror Tactics” that recommended taking and killing hostages in the name of the Islamic State. It said firearms were an ideal weapon and told fighters to target people in crowded, public, enclosed areas to maximize the number of fatalities. As an example, it cited the assault on a gay nightclub in Orlando last summer, in which an American citizen claiming allegiance to the Islamic State shot and killed 49 people and injured dozens of others.
So with ISIS now supporting the NRA in its main purpose and the recent repeal of the regulations preventing the mentally ill from acquiring firearms, we may see a renewal in mass shootings. And whether the shooters are deranged or simply ISIS followers, the NRA is guaranteed to say they bear no responsibility. Unless someone shoots up NRA headquarters or Congress.
