R.I.P. Nelle Harper Lee


You wrote "To Kill A Mockingbird" and the book that killed the mockingbird.

She wrote "To Kill A Mockingbird". The other manuscript was a first draft that her agent and her editor gently put out of its misery until a gold-digging relative found it in a box in Harper's attic while cleaning it out to sell the home (Harper Lee spent her last years in an assisted care home) and said "hey, we can get money for this!".
