A side note in another tragedy.
Well, we have another week and another shooting. This time it was an employee on employee shooting at the Empire State Building. The shooter and his main target are dead. The Raw Story included this update.
Update (11:45 a.m. ET): In a press conference on Friday, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commission Ray Kelly said that the gunman was 53-year-old Jeffrey Johnson. He had targeted a formal co-worker with .45 caliber pistol. The former co-worker was killed after being shot three times. Nine other bystanders were also shot, including an unspecified number of victims who were accidentally shot by police as they tried to take down the gunman. The cops are the ones with training. Imagine a bunch of untrained gun-toters pulling out their irons and blasting away.
UPDATE: It looks like all the wounded were hit by police bullets.
