Lockheed cobbs together a pile of crap
And all the Naval procurement people whose careers are invested in the Littoral Combat Ship ooh and ahh and hand Lockheed $Billions. And then give Lockheed $Billions more to fix all the problems and maybe get the ship able to perform the mission originally called for. Aviation Week gives us a close up look at LCS-1, a ship that appears to have been designed by people who have never built a ship or been to sea. And we have only paid $8 Billion so far. No wonder the Republican/Teabaggers want to cut SNAP and SSI and Medicare and Pell Grants and everything non-defense. What with the LCS-1 and the F-22 Craptor and the F-35 Land Crab Lockheed will need lots and lots more of our money to make weapons systems that wouldn't be threatened by WW I technology.

Heh. Yeah, given those leaky bulkhead doors, one single WW1 vintage mine exploding near the thing will send it straight to the bottom.
