The families of 16 Afghan villagers killed this month by a rampaging American soldier were given $50,000 by the United States for each of their slain relatives, Afghan and American officials said. And there may be more as these were not considered the usual "blood money" payments which are kept confidential. And despite all the money stolen from the US and their NATO allies, the Afghan government only thinks theyare worth $2,000/$1,000.
