From the Dept of "What are they hiding?"

Like watching the sun rise, you knew this would be the result when it finally happened. The Republican/Teabaggers in Indiana wanted to abuse the poorest in their state by including drug testing for welfare applicants. One of the Democrats in the Indiana legislature did the right thing.
A Republican member of the Indiana General Assembly withdrew his bill to create a pilot program for drug testing welfare applicants Friday after one of his Democratic colleagues amended the measure to require drug testing for lawmakers.

"There was an amendment offered today that required drug testing for legislators as well and it passed, which led me to have to then withdraw the bill," said Rep. Jud McMillin (R-Brookville), sponsor of the original welfare drug testing bill.
He had to withdraw his bill because he knew the rate of failure among the legislators would be much higher than among welfare recipients. Given the evil nature of the current Republican/Teabaggers, this just means the next time they will work to prevent any amendments. God forbid they should ever give up pushing a bad idea.
