Police riot in Philly and LA
But find that no one else wants to join in. So they cleared out the OCCUPY sites in those cities and arrested a few people for practice but had to put away all their fun toys unused. They violated the First Amendment right to assembly of those who were there so that people could enjoy their right to assembly.
Now is the time for OCCUPY to begin the occupation of peoples minds. Not with a continuous occupation of a public space but with a constant stream of assemblies public and private to educate people and give voice to their feelings. A few friends in your home, a group of like minded people in your church or a collection of the curious in a public hall. Now is a good time for people to talk about what they have seen, what they feel, what they want and what they can do.
The state can crush assemblies in public but they can not kill ideas spread in private.
