The Mouse that would have Roared
If he had been nestled snugly in the arms of a sympathetic audience. That was what Kosher Mouse had deceived himself into believing would be waiting for him at the Wharton School of Business when he made his Brave New Jobs speech. Then he found it would be open to the public and his knees turned to jello and the pee trickled down his leg as he cancelled, the thought of facing the public nearly frightening him to death.
Eric Cantor’s office says the GOP Majority Leader cancelled an economic speech at the University of Pennsylvania because the school reneged on a deal to keep the audience restricted to students and faculty. But UPenn says the event, which was the target of planned protests, was always open to the public.At which point the School made its position clear.
The Wharton speaker series is typically open to the general public, and that is how the event with Majority Leader Cantor was billed. We very much regret if there was any misunderstanding with the Majority Leader’s office on the staging of his presentation.”Republican/Teabaggers hate it when they can't dictate the conditions. Especially the cowardly mice among them.
