France surpasses the U.S. on every measure of health care availability, provision, and outcomes, whether it's number of doctors, access to advanced medical treatments, or outcomes. They do this despite spending 5% less of GDP on healthcare than the United States spends. Single-payer health insurance, commonly referred to as "Medicare For All", works. We have proof it works. The only reason not to do it is ideology. There is a term to describe nations where ideology trumps pragmatic reality: "Has-beens." Just ask the USSR. Oh wait, you can't...Badtux the Snarky Penguin, because any bird that hatches its young in Antartica and then flies up to Bahia for a little Carnival probably know a lot more about healthcare than your average Republican.
