And in Iraq

It seems like there is always some further "validation" of the McCain surge on Sundays. Today is no different.
The most deadly attack came in Baghdad, where police said at least 11 people were killed and 26 wounded by two car bombs that struck shoppers making last-minute purchases before breaking their Ramadan fast. The blasts occurred in the western neighborhoods of Shurta Rabaa and Amil, formerly mixed districts that now have Shiite majorities after years of sectarian attacks.

Earlier in the capital, snipers fired on an army checkpoint, killing two Iraqi soldiers and a civilian in the eastern Zayona neighborhood. A roadside bomb also killed an Iraqi soldier on a patrol in Mansour, a mostly Sunni area in western Baghdad, police officials said.

Two civilians were killed in an armed attack in the town of Khan Bani Saad by a group believed tied to al-Qaida, a police official in Diyala province said. The town is near the provincial capital of Baqouba.

The same official said two Iraqi soldiers were killed and 10 wounded when a bomb targeted them in Balad Ruz, 45 miles northeast of Baghdad late Saturday. A medic at the Balad Ruz hospital said the wounded suffered burns and shrapnel wounds and were later taken by U.S. soldiers to a military base.

Does anyone in the World (except McCain) believes that "Democratic Iraq" is possible? Is "Democratic Saudi Kingdom" possible? Or Egypt, Syria, Algeria, Afghanistan? That part of the world, for most part, is not ready, and we are not helping. We radicalize them. McCain's definitions of "winning" and "surge working" are different from the original declared goal of "bringing democracy to Iraqi people". It was safe in Iraq under Hussein. When we leave (which I hope we will soon and in one piece), there will be no democracy, there will be another dictator. Perhaps we are looking for a "secular Sunni" one, like Hussein, 'cause if the next Iraqi ruler is a Shiite, I guess Iran-Iraq alliance will be so strong that getting oil from Middle East will be even harder.

I bet Mac-Cane doesn't understand all this - he is too desperate to "win" something and he is too old to realize that his macho green beret days are over... 30 yeas ago he lost. He needs to prove something to his young rich wife. Poor guy. There is nothing wrong with being a beaten soldier. I have a great respect for General Lee, for instance.

As far as "killing them off", it is not going to work, my Anonymous colleague. I hope you are just joking, but this is a bad joke. They will REALLY start blowing things up if we are going "medieval" on them. We gotta leave them alone until they are ready for democracy. We are breeding an entire generation of kids over there who don't know anything but war - like in Afghanistan. Trust me: soon, we will declare a victory like in Vietnam, and get out, leaving 1,000,000+ Iraqi civilian corpses and no democracy behind. Sometimes courage means admitting defeat, and these thugs in the WH will keep screwing our brains, just like McNamara and Nixon did. It was then the young and sexy McCain tried to drop a bomb on a power plant. He needs to get over it and leave a legacy better than ruins and more dead civilians. Like donate his wife's beer money to a school, a hospital or an orphanage.

Wow...Barack Hussein Obama. Scary!! Mama help me!

I've seen the entire movie, not only the http://www.obsessionthemovie.com/ clip. One-sided propaganda. You can watch the same kind of a movie about Christians - called Jesus Camp. Quite scary too. I bet there must be something about Jews oppressing the palestinians, or the Chinese abusing Dalai Lama.

One thing I don't understand is how Obama is scarier than McCain. It is McCain who wants to drag us into the war, isn't he?

The film shows a few selected sequences, don't be scared that they all will load themselves of ships or swim here. Remember, there was once upon a time a USSR, which was 1000 time stronger than those marching dudes and kids with AK47s. And them what - nothing happened. Communism was nearly as powerful a religion as Islam or Christianity although they killed not as many people as there were killed in religious wars. Yet, they did not attack, because the people over there understood that capitalism means prosperity. So don't wet your pants and say payers just yet. Those marching guys are far far away and most likely they will prefer to fight each other than face a real army.

If we will stop provoking them, ARMING AND TRAINING THEM, and leave them alone, they will not attack. We trained Bin Laden, remember? And it was Bush who put us in the cross-hairs of the entire islamic terrorism movement, not just a few of them.
