They say the candidate is the last to know
That may explain why it took so long for Gov. Ricky Poo of Texas to realize he had no chance in the race for Republican primacy.
Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) announced on Thursday that he was suspending his campaign for the Republican nomination to the presidency and endorsing his rival, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA).It could be that he is just plain stupid which would explain why he is supporting the Fastest Dick in the South, Newt Gingrich.
“I have come to the conclusion that there is no viable path forward for me in this 2012 campaign,” Perry said. “Therefore today, I am suspending my campaign and endorsing Newt Gingrich for President of the United States.”
