Big Dick has another heart problem
Everybody, including the NY Times is reporting the new problems with VP shotgun victim, Whittington.
UPDATE:The Austin Statesman say Whittington was hit by "as many as 100 birdshot pellets but incurring largely superficial wounds". 100 pellets is a pretty tight pattern at 30 yds.
The 78-year-old lawyer who was accidentally shot by Vice President Dick Cheney on Saturday suffered a mild heart attack today after bird shot migrated to his heart, doctors in South Texas said....And so Big Dick has to watch and wait to see what happens to his "orange quail". This would explain his extended stay in the ICU and the hospital. So now we wonder if the shooting was worse that revealed or was this a "lucky" pellet that penetrated the right spot. Whichever, it is in a bad spot right now. And the Big Dick is probably puting some stress on his own "dicky ticker".
...."Some of the bird shot appears to have moved and lodged into part of his heart, causing the arterial fibrillation, in what we would say is a minor heart attack," Dr. Banko told reporters this afternoon at a news briefing outside the hospital.
He said Mr. Whittington was in stable condition now, and alert, but that he would remain in the hospital for at least another week to make sure that pellet and any others did not continue to move to other vital organs.
