Bankof America Sweetheart settlement challenged in court
Because if the sweetheart settlement, with its minor fine and lack of investigation, is approved, it will moot a larger suit seeking more realistic damages and based on far more thorough investigation. Gretchen Morgenson writes about the deal and you can smell the stink just reading about it.
