Quote of the Day

“I don’t think he is resentful or angry or anything; I think he is resigned to it.”
Unknown Republican friend, commenting on Our Dear Embattled Leader's feelings about his truncated Crawford vacation.

Oh, Thank God he is not resentful!

Comments:
Move over, Judith Miller and make room for Sheryl Stolberg, the new NY Times blowjob queen.

Stolberg, who helped popularize the faked Kerry "Who among us doesn't love NASCAR" quote from 2004, had a biddy weekend coming up with a choice whopper or two about Bush, as in, "Here (Crawford, TX), Mr. Bush can clear brush, ride his mountain bike along scrubby trails, curl up with a book or kick up his feet for an afternoon siesta." Uh huh, and what book might that be, the epic, "My Pet Goat?"

Stolberg then takes the opportunity to push the "Bush as War President" theme with, "The president also has several books on his summer reading list, Mr. Snow said, including two about Abraham Lincoln, another wartime president whose decisions were sometimes extremely unpopular."

Well, she and her other Bush fellation specialists in the press can compare kooky Bush to serious Lincoln all they want, but America isn't buying it. But, then, no one has yet made the mistake of comparing slurpping Stolberg to a real reporter, either. Must be that "liberal media" thingamabob again.
