Cabaret is a little known music style in this country
Because it it performed in small, intimate venues, it has a small but dedicated following. Performances can be from the American Song Book or current theater. Whatever the song is, it requires connecting with the audience as soon as possible which is why there is often humor in the songs. Kristin Chenoweth gives us a wonderful example of this.
